Silicon Slopes; March7, 2017 New York Agricultural Education (NYAAE) and the Agricultural Education Technical Assessment System (AETAS) Program have announced a transition from a legacy AETAS exam to agriculture assessments developed by Precision Exams.

Precision Exams, a U.S. based testing and certification organization, collaborated with both organizations to implement a next-level, industry-aligned Career and Technical Education exams to New York agricultural students. With existing assessments that match the objectives of curriculum being taught in the New York schools, implementation will bring reliable reports to help educators innovate their lesson plans.

“As we looked to put our old exam online, we found that Precision Exams has existing technical assessments that match the objectives of our older exams. New York State Department of Education has agreed that the new exams will replace the older AETAS exam.”, says Jeff Perry, Senior Lecturer, at Cornell University’s College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.

“Career and Technical Education has emerged as an exciting environment where students can prepare for their careers,” said Adam Sanchez, National Sales Director, Precision Exams. “Reports contained within the Precision Exam system provide educators with detailed performance information that educators may use to make better decisions in the classroom. The leading Education Departments understand how to leverage innovative technologies and have the capability to move quickly when changes are needed.”

Precision Exams is an integral part of the NYAAE effort in program development and certification, serving as a vital connection point between rapid testing results and practical, real career skills needs.
